Jessica Foster, MD

Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist

Dr. Foster is a physician-scientist and pediatric neuro-oncologist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She completed her residency and chief residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Foster leads a translational laboratory focused on novel immunotherapeutics for pediatric central nervous system tumors. Specifically, her lab is working on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells for malignant brain and spinal cord tumors, including diffuse midline glioma, medulloblastoma, and atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumors. She has already received multiple awards in her young career to date, including the ASPHO Young Investigator award and the AACR Team Science award as a member of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation-Stand Up To Cancer Pediatric Cancer Dream Team. Dr. Foster is also the co-leader and founder of the PNOC Immunotherapy Working Group.
