Margaret Shatara, MD

Co-Principal Investigator, Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist

Dr. Margaret Shatara is a pediatric neuro-oncologist with interest in clinical and translational pediatric brain tumor research. She is currently an assistant professor of pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis, specializing in the care of children with brain and spine tumors. She is also the co-chair of a current PNOC study (PNOC027) which aims to provide a personalized treatment plan for children, adolescents and young adults with relapsed medulloblastoma. In addition to patient care and research, Dr. Shatara has interests in global collaborations aiming to improve the outcomes and quality of life for children with CNS tumors in low- and middle- income countries. She leads a monthly international pediatric neuro-oncology tumor board promoting a multidisciplinary approach for the management of these children globally.
