Shannon Raber, NP
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Shannon Raber is an acute care pediatric nurse practitioner who has worked in pediatric oncology since 2003, providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In patient care, her primary interests include supportive care and symptom management for children and young adults with brain tumors. Her research interests include using telehealth in pediatric neuro-oncology clinics and treating pediatric brain tumors through precision medicine.
Since PNOC’s inception Shannon has participated in review of PNOC protocols and participated as the research nurse for several studies as they have opened at UCSF.
Shannon did her undergraduate studies at Santa Clara University and earned her master’s degree in nursing from the UCSF School of Nursing completing the Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program in 2008. She received the UCSF Department of Nursing Award for Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing in 2015 and is a member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses.
In her spare time Shannon enjoys outdoor adventures with her family and friends, attending live music shows, and turning the leader board sideways and giving out high fives on her Peloton.
