The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital, is the largest pediatric provider in the region with a 130+ year legacy of excellence. The state-of-the-art hospital provides patient and family focused pediatric care in a setting that offers the latest innovations in medical technology, research, and family-friendly design.

Under the leadership of Angela Waanders, MD, MPH, Interim-Section Head of Neuro-Oncology, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Program at Lurie Children’s continues to earn recognition for its clinical and scientific expertise and the breadth and quality of its services. Our team has grown to meet the needs of more children and families nationally and internationally and now includes four neuro-oncologists, three advanced practice nurses and three RNs, along with a multi-disciplinary team of caregivers from across the hospital, who care for more than 160 patients new to our institution annually.

Housing Information

Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s opened its doors on June 26, 2012, at 211 East Grand Avenue in the Streeterville neighborhood of downtown Chicago. It is the largest of five Ronald McDonald Houses in the Chicagoland area. The House supports the needs of families whose children are receiving treatment at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

Here we offer families of hospitalized children 15-stories of care & comfort including 66 guest rooms, a rooftop healing garden, and a kitchen filled with home-cooked meals and supportive conversation.
